These Terms apply only to the PdfEngine mobile application (Android package com.pdfme.pdfeditor). They are separate from CricMatch terms on this domain.

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PdfEngine mobile application and related materials (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

PdfEngine provides on-device PDF tools, which may include (without limitation):

Merge, split, organize, rotate, crop, and compress PDFs
Protect, unlock, watermark, sign, redact, and number pages
Convert between PDF and other formats (such as images, Word, HTML, Markdown) where available
Scan to PDF, OCR, extract text/images, and translate PDF text
A rule-based on-device AI Copilot assistant
Advertising on Android via third-party networks such as Google AdMob

Features may change, be limited by device capability, or be unavailable on some platforms.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are under 13, you may use the App only with appropriate parental or guardian supervision. The App is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children.

4. License to use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for lawful personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable store terms (for example Google Play).

You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where permitted by law
Remove proprietary notices or attempt to circumvent technical limitations
Use the App to build a competing service by systematically extracting its design or code
Misuse ads, interfere with App operation, or attempt unauthorized access

5. Your content and responsibility

You retain ownership of documents and content you process with the App
You are solely responsible for the legality of files you process, scan, share, or translate
You must have all rights and permissions needed for the content you handle
Do not use the App for unlawful, infringing, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
You are responsible for backing up important files; device storage can be cleared or lost

6. Processing location and third-party features

Most PDF operations run on your device. Some optional features use third-party services:

Translate sends extracted text to Google Translate services
Ads (Android) are provided by Google AdMob and may use device/ad identifiers
Fonts or on-device ML models may be downloaded as needed

Your use of those features is also subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. No professional advice

Outputs from conversion, OCR, AI Copilot summaries, translation, and similar tools are provided for convenience only. They may contain errors or omissions. Do not rely on them as legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Always review important documents yourself.

8. Advertising

The Android version of the App may display advertisements. You agree that ads may appear in the App interface. We are not responsible for third-party advertiser websites, offers, or content you open through ads.

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its name, branding, design, and software (excluding your documents and third-party components), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party libraries and services remain subject to their own licenses.

10. App Stores

If you download the App from Google Play or another store, that store’s terms also apply. The store operator is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, except as required by its own terms or applicable law.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONVERSIONS, OCR, TRANSLATIONS, OR SUMMARIES WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF THE APP WAS FREE).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us from claims arising out of your misuse of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or features, or restrict access, if you breach these Terms or if we stop offering the App.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer rights.
